Terms & Conditions:

Windle Woofs Dog Grooming will ensure that the welfare of your pet in our care is our number one priority. Our aim is to provide you and your furry friend with the best grooming service available to ensure you choose us time and time again.

  • Please allow 24 hours notice to cancel an appointment, cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or will incur a £25 charge. No shows will incur the charge of the full groom.
  • Payment must be made on collection of your pet. Windle Woofs only accept cash or bank transfer at this stage. Please ensure you arrive on time to collect your pet as room space to hold waiting dogs is limited.
  • We have the right to refuse to groom a reactive pet that presents a risk of injury to themselves, to a Windle Woofs groomer and other customers or their pets. If your pet is reactive or aggressive, the groom will cease immediately and you will be asked to come and collect your dog. You will also need to pay the cost of the groom in full, regardless of whether the groom is complete or incomplete.
  • We require that all our clients complete a Client Record Card. It is imperative that the information you provide is accurate and complete. In addition, we ask that you make us aware of anything we need to know in relation to your pet's behaviour, illnesses or medication they may be taking. Please also ensure you keep us updated each time you bring your pet in to be groomed.
  • By completing and signing the Client Record you are confirming your agreement to these terms and conditions and that we may completely rely on the information provided.
  • Windle Woofs will not share your details with any other organisations. However, from time to time we may contact you by phone, text or email with any important news, offers and service updates.
  • We may also photograph your pet and display these images on our website, Facebook & Instagram pages. Please inform us if you do not wish us to use images of your pet in this way.
  • At the time of your pet's appointment, please ensure they are fit, healthy and do not have fleas or worms. Dogs with visible fleas or worms will not be groomed and you will be asked to come and collect your pet - payment will be required in full along with a £25 charge to cover costs of decontaminating the salon.
  • Please also confirm your pet's annual vaccinations are up to date, or provide details of when he/she was last titre tested.
  • Grooming of elderly pets or pets with underlying health issues is entirely at the owner's risk.
  • Please note we will advise you if we feel your pet is being put under any unnecessary stress and may suggest alternative treatments to their usual ones, to aid their well-being.
  • Female dogs in season will not be groomed. Please ensure your appointment is a minimum of 2 weeks from the end of their season.
  • Grooming may expose underlying skin or health problems that we cannot be held liable for, you may need to contact your vet in some cases or if symptoms persist.
  • Pets are not to be fed 2 hours prior to their appointment and please ensure they are adequately toileted and walked before their groom.
  • Pets with extremely matted coats will be charged extra. Under the animal welfare act, we do not de-matt heavily matted dogs and in this case will instead clip your dog's fur short below the matt line. This will significantly change your pet's appearance and their hair will be short and close to the skin.
  • If your pet becomes ill in our care we may contact a Vet and unless it can be clearly shown that Windle Woofs are liable (by provision of a written Vet's report) all Vet costs will be at the owner's expense.
